Warn My Children
Introduction
In this short story I am sharing with you one of my life's experiences and the wisdom the Lord Jesus has given me through it. My hope and prayer is you will be both blessed and encouraged by this little booklet.
There are many scriptures in the Bible which warn us against false prophets, false teachers, and of falling away, as well as many other warnings. It is the responsibility of each individual to read the Bible and learn the truth for him or herself.
May each one of us forsake our sins and walk with the Lord in righteousness and truth. As we walk with Him, may we enjoy His amazing grace and mercy in our time of need.

The Dream
In August 2005 I had a dream.
I dreamt I was in a church service and the atmosphere was one of praise and worship. Love, joy, and peace were tangible as God’s people lifted up their hands and their voices to praise the Lord.
Then I heard the voice of the Sunday school teacher as she was teaching the children. It was as though she was speaking over a P.A. system and everyone in the church service could hear her.
She was grieved in her spirit, because the shepherds weren’t teaching the whole truth of God’s Word. They were teaching the truth: believe on the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved. But they weren’t teaching God's people they needed to forsake their sins.
"When I shut up the heavens
so that there is no rain,
or command locusts
to devour the land
or send a plague
among my people,
if my people,
who are called by my name,
will humble themselves
and pray and seek my face
and turn from their wicked ways,
then will I hear from heaven
and will forgive their sin
and will heal their land.
Now my eyes will be open
and my ears attentive to
the prayers offered in this place."
2nd Chronicles 7:13 to 15 N.I.V.
Some churches do not teach the born again children of God to “put off the old nature” and “put on the new nature”. We are to put away all filthiness and deeds of the flesh.
You were taught, with regard
to your former way of life,
to put off your old self,
which is being corrupted
by its deceitful desires;
to be made new
in the attitude of your minds;
and to put on the new self,
created to be like God in true
righteousness and holiness.
Ephesians 4:22 to 24 N.I.V.

Insights
When I awoke from my dream, I could sense the grieving of the heart of God. Many of His children have been deceived into believing, once they were saved, they could continue in their wilful sins. Many will not make it unless they repent, and forsake their sin.
"Not everyone who says
to me, 'Lord, Lord,'
will enter the kingdom of heaven,
but only he who does the will
of my Father who is in heaven.
Many will say to me on that day,
'Lord, Lord, did we not
prophesy in your name,
and in your name
drive out demons
and perform many miracles?'
Then I will tell them plainly,'
I never knew you.
Away from me, you evildoers!'
Matthew 7:21 to 23 N.I.V.
There are so many warnings in the Bible against this kind of false teaching in both the Old and New Testaments. But in many churches this is not being taught, and many people believe they have been saved, when in fact their hearts are far from God.
my people are destroyed
from lack of knowledge.
Because you have
rejected knowledge,
I also reject you as my priests;
because you have ignored
the law of your God,
I also will ignore your children.
The more the priests increased,
the more they sinned against me;
they exchanged their Glory
for something disgraceful.

And also,
You hypocrites! Isaiah was right
when he prophesied about you:
'These people honor me with their lips,
but their hearts are far from me.
They worship me in vain;
their teachings are
but rules taught by men.'

When I heard the Sunday school teacher’s voice, I could hear not only her voice but her heart, and the heart of God. There was a grieving in her spirit, and in God’s Spirit, and an urgency to warn the children of God NOW, before it is too late.
I was blessed to hear her speaking, and to hear how humble, submitted, and obedient she was to the Lord. I also felt convicted for myself because I knew in my heart I was not there yet.
I will only be able to fulfill the destiny God has planned for me when I become completely submitted and obedient to the Lord.
